The World’s Longest Wall Murals

In an ambitious effort to transform the wall of the Port Autonome de Cotonou into a powerful and iconic hub for street art in Africa, the government of Benin is beautifying the wall with works by renowned graffiti artists from around the world. The goal is to create a narrative that reflects Benin’s identity and culture of peaceful coexistence.

Following the successful first phase featuring the work of Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra, which symbolized interfaith dialogue, the government, through the Ministry of Tourism and the Agency for the Development of Culture and Arts, is launching the second phase of this project.

Titled “Marina Boulev’art Gallery,” this project currently brings together over 40 Beninese and international muralists, graffiti artists, and stencil artists.

The completion of this new phase will extend the artwork for approximately one kilometer, making the Port Autonome de Cotonou’s urban art wall the longest in the world.
