At the center of this seaside and port city now stands the 20,000-seat Laurent Pokou Stadium. The imposing infrastructure announces the colors of the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2023), which will be held in Ivory Coast in a week.

Equipped with modern facilities, the Laurent Pokou Stadium is ready to host the matches of Group F, composed of the teams of Morocco, DRC, Zambia and Tanzania.

To facilitate access to San Pedro and breathe new life into the region’s development, the Ivorian government has undertaken major road works. The Côtière, a section connecting San Pedro to Abidjan, over 353 kilometers long, makes it possible to reach Abidjan from San Pedro in 3 hours, compared to 10 hours by road before its renovation.
